Goal
The goal of this project is to create a 3d paper model, and a page layout from the article named The Immortal Myth of the Unicorn by Mallika Rao. Our team needs to find the best solution to represent the pure and strong personality of the unicorn. We asked to provide professional and accurate paper cutting and folding skills and prepare the best lighting to project a unique ambiance.
Design Thinking
It took a while to find the best solution. We ended up creating two chess pieces. One piece is a knight which represents the unicorn, and a regular pawn who illustrates the general public. According to the article,
we wanted to show the conflict between the characterization of the unicorn and the public. Having
the dramatic scheme set, a dynamic layout was preferred instead of the standard layout.e a minute to read. Because Avalon dairy is the only brand Queen Elizabeth drinks in Canada, we decide to make fun with the
royal families. It is full of fun to do the explorations on the memes.
Solutions
The unicorn facing the pawn gives the conflict. The backlight provides a glowing effect to the unicorn which implies the holiness and the purity of the animal. The article layout has the same attention as the picture. Then the reader will not get distracted. I learned a lot through this group project. For example, assigning work according to the different skills of the team members by taking advantage of using diverse communication methods with different people.
